Tenants Transforming Greater St.Louis formerly Homes For All St.Louis is a Black renter led housing justice & advocacy organization building power in Black and Brown communities around the Greater St. Louis area and altering the socio-political landscape for renter-friendly policies by catalyzing tenant unions.

Responsibilities

The Fund Development Manager will be responsible for:

  • Draft grant proposals
  • Grant reporting
  • Building relationships with funders
  • Plan online fundraising campaigns like GiveSTL Day, Giving Tuesday and the End of Year Ask
  • Plan fundraising events (Annual Bowling Tournament) which includes the training and preparing of staff and key volunteers to expand our reach
  • Draft annual budget with the input of staff
  • Track and reconcile expenses
  • Provide monthly financial updates to the staff
  • Maintain a calendar of grants and funding opportunities
  • Collaborate with Executive Director and Communication & Marketing Manager to establish a vision for fundraising for the year and potential collaborative grant opportunities
  • Regularly review staff reports and meet with staff to stay updated on programming
  • Manage the implementation of membership model and monthly donor program
  • Research pressing issues and maintain updates about the socio-political environment relevant to housing, tenants rights, utilities/energy, eviction, community development and housing development, climate change and environmental topics
  • Keep relevant fundraising materials up to date


Qualifications

  • Self starter and collaborative
  • Preferred familiarity with St. Louis area
  • Preferred bilingual (Spanish & English)
  • Computer proficiency
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Grant writing experience
  • Accounting experience
  • Several years of fundraising experience preferred 
  • Good with establishing and managing relationships (with funders)


Compensation

Contracted with a flexible work schedule. 

Commitment of at least 25 hours a month with a flat pay rate of $30-$50/hr.

Starting pay is determined by level of experience.
